Process of Implementation
The project began with a detailed assessment of the roof structure to determine required strengthening and layout adjustments. Structural works were carried out to improve load support and define usable floor space within the roof area.
Once the structure was prepared, internal framing was installed to shape the new space. Insulation works followed to meet thermal requirements, along with plasterboarding to form clean internal surfaces.
Finishing stages included surface preparation and detailing to ensure the space was ready for use. Works were carefully sequenced to protect the existing property and maintain site organisation throughout the project.
Overcoming Challenges
A key challenge was working within a low-pitch roof area while achieving sufficient usable space. This was addressed through precise structural adjustments and careful positioning of internal elements to maximise available headroom.
Project Outcome
The roof space conversion was completed successfully, delivering a usable and well-finished internal area. The upgraded structure and finishes improved the property’s functionality, and the client was satisfied with the quality and execution of the works.
