Process of Implementation
The project commenced with groundworks and foundation preparation to support both the side and rear extension footprints. Structural blockwork and brickwork were carried out in phases to ensure alignment and strength across the combined build areas.
Once the external structure was completed, roofing works were undertaken to make the extensions weather-tight. Internal construction followed, focusing on integrating new walls, floors, and openings with the existing property layout.
Internal finishes were completed to create a seamless transition between old and new spaces, with consistent levels, materials, and detailing used throughout.
Overcoming Challenges
The main challenge was coordinating construction across two extension areas while maintaining stability and access to the existing property. This was managed through phased groundworks, controlled sequencing, and continuous structural checks throughout the build.
Project Outcome
The combined extension project was completed successfully, delivering a substantial increase in internal living space with a cohesive and well-integrated layout. The client was pleased with the quality of construction, internal flow, and overall transformation of the property.
